wisdom is the capacity to have fore knowledge and to understand the potential consequences of all available options, whilst also doubting what you know and yielding when needed
philosophy (belief, credo) is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality and existence; expressed as a theory or attitude that acts as a guide to behaviour
so, ask yourself some open questions and create a personal philosophy:
– toward what should I orient my life
– how do I develop my nature to make it gradually better every day
– what virtues are the most important to cultivate
– what weaknesses should I avoid nurturing
– how can I make my life meaningful
– what ideas should I pass on to the next generation
– how can I leave this life in good order with minimal suffering for all
also
some suggestions for self-combat:
1) overcome your fear & be brave
2) accept your mortality with a grin
3) be grateful as many are in despair
4) turn anger into a positive life lesson
5) develop a stable composure
6) live with purpose & be productive
7) be self-less, kind & patient
8) talk less & listen carefully
9) want less & find your calling
10) status & recognition are a trap
11) allow humility to build character
12) struggle & fail to improve daily
a person can be given knowledge, but they cannot be forced to think for themselves; the path to a personal philosophy requires a commitment to change
